Климатты изилдөө үчүн жаңы изилдөө гранты

The Department of Environmental Sciences at JTU has been awarded a significant $2 million grant from the Global Environmental Fund (GEF) to conduct extensive research on the impacts of climate change in the Central Asian region. This vital multi-year project will focus on monitoring glacial melt rates in the Tien Shan mountains, assessing impacts on downstream water resource management, and collaborating with local communities to develop sustainable adaptation strategies. "This grant is a tremendous opportunity to advance our understanding of the critical environmental challenges facing our region," stated Dr. Emily White, head of the department. "Our team is eager to collaborate with international partners and local stakeholders to produce actionable research that can inform policy and protect our natural heritage." The project is set to begin next month.
